To the beach we go!

LIFE IS SHORT-TAKE TIME FOR ADVENTURE

I had a long weekend off so I wanted to take advantage of it! We took a little trip over to the Olympic Peninsula. This included taking a ferry ride from Coupeville, and driving a large loop around the Olympic National Forest. Everything worked out SO smooth. We weren't rushed at all. We stopped whenever and wherever we wanted.

I love the feeling of not having to worry about time. We spend our whole lives worrying about something and on this trip I got to reflect and just let it be. Whether or not my boyfriend new I had these feelings- it felt good. The beach and being outside in nature is truly my medication.

Our route :)

Ruby Beach

Beautiful mossy forest

Patrick being crazy :P

Sometimes all we got to see was soupy fog but once we walked down to the beach there were so amazing rock structures and the beach itself was all rocks. You were wet but you didn't even care because everything still was so perfect.

We also took some short walks in the mist to look at the beautiful mossy forest. Can you say AMAZING!? There is something about the trees that completely re-energizes me! Their beauty and power is so amazing. Some of the roots would be sticking out of the ground and would be as big as my car, it was insane!

Break away from your routine and feed your soul with the excitement of walking in a place you hadn’t walked before…Even if it’s just a few miles away.

V A N C E C R E E K B R I D G E

Vance Creek Bridge
The Vance Creek Bridge, built in 1929, was part of the Simpson Railroad which was one of the last logging railroad operations in the continental United States. The Vance Creek Bridge has been out of operation since the 1950's and spans over 400 feet long and 347 feet high making it one of the highest railway arch bridges ever built in the United States.

It was suchhhhh a fun trip :) If you don' t know where this spot is I recommend looking it up! It is def one of the Northwests best kept secrets!

Snoqualmie Falls

This year I wanted to go somewhere beautiful and new to celebrate my brothers life.  I chose Snoqualmie Falls. This day was very difficult for me. These past fewweeks I find myself breaking down and crying. I know everything is ok but sometimes it just gets so hard. I miss him. I miss everything about him. His laugh, his smile, those eyes, his bear hugs, his sarcasm, EVERYTHING. He was such a brat. I loved it. My big brother. I just wish he were here so I could tell him I love him once more. The last time I got to see him those were our last words and I got that huge bear hug that I am missing so badly today.

I cry happy tears because I cherish the memories that I have with you bro. You are so loved and so missed. I know you would love this place brother bear. Today is for you! Happy Birthday!

Spring

S P R I N G

I am so excited that it is the first day of Spring. Everything finally seems to be falling into place. Being back in Wa this past year and losing almost everything has taught me so much. But most of all- To be patient.

The struggle is real my friends...

Love my scoot

I received my first ticket on this beast, rode it far distances including (Bellingham to Mount Vernon), have had it quit on me and walked the damn thing home, popped a wheelie, jumped it, had it break down for 3 months, and doubled up with the best of friends on it.

Her name is RUSTY & I love her.

I am sooo happy to have her back in my life and am soooo excited for the summer!!

Stay up!

I do not define myself by how many roadblocks have appeared in my path.
I define myself by the courage I have found to forge new roads.
I do not define myself by how many disappointments I have faced.
I define myself by the forgiveness and faith I have found to begin again.
I do not define myself by how long a relationship lasted.
I define myself by how I have Loved and have been willing to Love again, and how I still Love
I do not define myself by how many times I have been knocked down.
I define myself by how many times I have struggled to my feet.
I do not define myself by how often I have appeared a fool.
I define myself by the number of risks I have taken.
I do not define myself by the number of mistakes I have made.
I define myself by the Knowledge I have learned from trying a new way.
I am Not my pain…
I am Not my past…
I am that which has emerged from the fire!

Words for the day.

Surround yourself with people that give you energy. You'll know when you have a valuable person in your life; the relationship will be effortless. A real connection requires no struggle. Let go of people that are holding you back. Don't judge, don't fight. Just let them go. Life is far too important to focus on anything but love.
