Sail

I just want to say that lately I have been trying so hard to just get out there and do fun things. The weather has been so great and it is finally feeling like summer is just around the corner. This weekend I got invited to go sailing with my pal Ken. I can't even tell you how excited I was. The next day we got our groceries and all of the things we needed and took off. We were supposed to sail over to Cypress but ended up going to Lummi Island. I was still so happy :) . That feeling of being on a boat in the middle of the water is amazing. I seriously could not stop smiling. I so wish I could get a sailboat and learn everything. It was so rad to watch Ken. It was like second nature to him.

Once we got to the Island we cracked some beers and hiked around for about three hours. It was so much fun. I was in my element. Now all though I have been to Lummi Island by ferry, I have never got to sail there, or even see the other side of it - So this was amazing. There wasn't a house in site, there was only one other sailboat there, and it was soooo peaceful. No one around other than the birds and the trees. I dig it. We ended up finding some really sweet spots. Exploring makes me so happy.

Shortly after we hiked around we started collecting wood for a fire and food prepping for tin foil dinners. We drank and had good convo then paddled back for the boat and crashed out. I dreamt soooo crazy. I haven't slept on a sail boat in years. It was SOOOO peaceful. What a good time. The best time.

The next day we ended up making breakfast on the boat and then headed to Dot Island (most people call it that). We stayed barefoot and ran around this island to the most amazing beach spot! All that was missing is our friends. It was still such a wonderful time though. We made it back by sunset (which was like 9:15pm), packed up, and called it a night. I had my scooter to ride home and I seriously felt like such a bad ass with my huge pack with all my camping stuff hahaha...I just wish I was riding a freaking motorcycle home...Anyways my mind is wandering :) ...This weekend was epic. Thanks Ken!
